For twelve consecutive years, the Pawtucket Arts Festival has been uniting Rhode Islanders in a late summer celebration of artistic, culinary, and musical talent. Events scheduled for the festival include an ongoing film festival, a motorcycle and car show, a silent auction, a Greek Festival, the Dragon Boat Races and Taiwan Day Festival, numerous plays and concerts including a very special performance by the Boston Pops and Kenny Loggins at McCoy Stadium. For the complete listing of events, visit the website for Pawtucket Arts Festival. The festival will continue until September 26.
For the third year in a row, the City of Pawtucket asked Malcolm Grear Designers to design a limited edition print/poster in honor of the event. This year's poster is a photograph by Matt Kierstead titled “City Interior.” Last year the painting "Summer Along the Blackstone" by artist Penelope Manzella was featured and the previous year’s poster highlighted artist Gretchen Dow Simpson’s painting titled “Hope.” The prints, signed and numbered by the artists, were printed by IOLabs on archival fine art paper.
