The Catholic News Service (CNS) recently launched their completely redesigned website. The website (catholicnews.com) offers a wide range of news, movie reviews, columns, photos, graphics, cartoons, videos and a vast array of other catholic-related news content. News stories are offered in both English and Spanish, reflecting the changing demographics of worldwide catholic audience. The website, designed by Malcolm Grear Designers, provides some of its content free to the general public, and offers a range of high quality news content on a subscription basis. CNS’ clients and subscribers are thrilled with the ease of use and the numerous enhancements included in the new design.
CNS is based in Washington D.C. with an award-winning news bureau in Rome. Prior to the website redesign, Malcolm Grear Designers created the visual identity for CNS as well as the design of including the CNS Stylebook (and website) and CNS’s documentary service Origins, a weekly publication of encyclicals, speeches, essays, and research related to news, public policy, and social issues. To help CNS reinforce their brand, we designed their newsroom sign, video bumpers, and graphics.
The launch of the new website comes in preparation for the upcoming papal visit to Cuba and the United States in September 2015. With their new web presence, CNS is well equipped to cover Pope Francis' historic visit.
